Sweat For Hope is an annual fundraiser 5K race benefitting Profugo (www.profugo.org). The first race was held on October 25, 2008. The event drew over 100 participants from near and far. A number of universities were represented as well. Profugo's plans for the event include expanding the event out to other cities in the United States.
The 2008 race was set in the beautiful Ridley Creek state park, close to Media, PA. Media is the first Fair Trade town in the United States! The region is home to a number of people who are socially aware and responsible.
